.M Contemporary was established in 2013 and is a leading commercial art gallery representing over 50 Australian and International artists.
.M Contemporary remains dedicated to supporting both emerging and established artist in realising their visions.
The gallery comprises of two spaces: a main exhibition space and a second smaller annex space. We display exhibitions in both spaces concurrently.
We are a close knit and dynamic team with excellent relationships with both our artist and collectors. We are looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Coordinator to join the team.
ABOUT THE ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unique prospect to join the .M Contemporary team as the Social Media Coordinator.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing social media campaigns, creating content, and driving brand awareness and engagement across all social channels, while working closely with the gallery manager and director.
- The selected candidate will maintain and further develop a strong online presence for the gallery, coordinating all advertising efforts through Ads Manager and Google Ads.
- Work closely with our website manager to continually improve our online website experience.
- Monitor and report on all social media platforms.
- Generative innovative ideas for online brand strategy.
- As we are a small team, the selected candidate will contribute to day-to-day gallery operations as well as assisting with after-hours openings and events.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, arts or other related area
- Interest in the arts
- Passion for and experience in social media marketing, with strong understanding of trends and best practices
- Ability to work independently
- Creative and adept at Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn & Pinterest
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Developed copywriting skills
- Minimum one year experience as a Social Media Coordinator
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience using MailChimp of similar EDM software and building engaging EDM campaigns
- Experience with Facebook Business and Ads Manager
- Experience with WordPress website maintenance
- Experience with SEO’s desirable
- RSA & Driver’s license
