How will I help?

Corporate Service Technology has both Development and Run team, supporting the Corporate Service Business Unit, across functions such as Group Property, Group Protective Services, Group Procurement and Corporate Affairs. In this space the L3 and Continuous Improvement team is critical in ensuring that the core processes continue to run smoothly, that the platforms are all functioning appropriately, and the business is supported in the complex scenarios that can occur operationally. This position is to provide Technical Leadership to a group of IT Developers and Support Analysts, with accountabilities mentioned below. It will attract someone with a keen interest in data and integration, who loves complex technical, data and business problems; and with a passion for supporting and mentoring junior technologists.

Responsibilities will include:

- Provide expert technical direction in Application, Database and Batch processing to team members, covering all aspects of the system within the sub-domain.
- Drive improvement, enhancement and upgrade by looking for opportunities within project and/or BAU
- Lead the diagnosis and root-cause analysis of complex problems, by employing a solid eye for detail and troubleshooting skills
- Lead the technical activities across the Software Development Lifecycle within both waterfall and Agile projects.




- Provide leadership to a small, professional team of technical specialists in teams of diversely located resources
- Actively encourage professional development and innovative practices
- Develop relationships with other Technical Leads in the broader team to gain insights and share experiences.

What do I need?

To be set up for success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

- An extensive background within the IT Industry, specialising in Database development.
- A strong background in leading small teams of Database Developers
- Experience in Agile Teams, who have had DevOps responsibilities.
- Financial/Corporate Services experience highly desired.
- Mandatory - SQL Server, strong solution design and leadership experience. Dev Ops toolsets, and experience managing code base.
- Desirable (but not mandatory) - Qlik / QRM
