You will be involved with systems that support the Banks market activities, enterprise governance and risk. Establish a new testing function by analysing, planning and executing the functional testing for a variety of critical systems within RBA’s Risk and Compliance Department. The testing activities aim to achieve the highest levels of quality assurance and functional reliability in our solutions. You will be planning the approach of how to test systems, work with system users to make testing efficient and effective, and automate as much regression testing as possible.

Your strong stakeholder engagement skills will come into play as you manage relationships with vendors for delivered software as well as acting as an interface with the rest of the business.

- Deliver test strategies, test plans, estimates and schedules for agreed projects based on business and technical requirements and specifications.
- Analyse requirements and system changes, and design functional tests that aim to minimise risks and achieve the highest levels of quality assurance and functional reliability.
- Manage defects including reporting, tracking and testing fixes. Liaise with business and developer staff for resolution of problems.




- Develop test progress reports including statistics on completion rate, defects, fixes etc.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of automated and manual testing processes, standards and tools, make and implement recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage the different priorities and demands from a range of different systems, stakeholders and vendors, managing multiple projects with diverse streams of work that run in parallel.

Your background

- Highly developed relationship building skills and exposure to working with vendors.
- Proven experience in setting up a testing function with advanced knowledge and experience across all phases and types of testing.
- Experience and proficiency in the area of test automation for vendor delivered systems using leading tools including but not limited to Selenium, Cypress, SoapUI and UFT One
- Demonstrated experience developing test automation frameworks, tools and techniques.
- Programming experience across technologies such as VB Script, C# or Java
- Test competency certification is highly desirable.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Operations this role is in the Risk and Compliance Department.



This department supports the consistent and effective application of the Bank’s framework for managing risk at the enterprise level, for financial functions and for individual business units across the Bank. It assists departments to identify, understand and manage their compliance obligations.
