Department: Marketing/ Social Media

Reports to: Operations and Production Manager

Direct Reports: Social Media & Content Manager

Location: Brent Street, Sydney

Days: Monday - Friday (Full Time)

ABOUT OUR BUSINESS

Brent Street is Australia’s Home of Performing Arts. Our company is home to nearly 1000 of Australia’s finest young dancers, singers and actors, training intensely for greatness and success. Classes and Training Programs start at age 2yrs and go up to our Pre-Professional Full Time Courses for adults. We are located within the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park, NSW.

The Duties

Primary Objective(s) of the Position:

- Enhance the company’s brand presence and reputation through strategic development and execution of marketing plans
- Implement campaigns that effectively attract, engage, and retain customers
- Develop initiatives to generate leads and drive sales growth in alignment with business goals
- Ensure efficient use of the marketing budget to achieve a high return on investment
- Oversee marketing projects from planning to execution, ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Track, analyse, and report on marketing metrics to guide strategic decisions and improvements
- Integrate marketing performance data with broader business metrics. Use mathematical and statistical methods to holistically evaluate business performance, identifying trends, correlations, and insights to support tactical decision-making
- Increase growth, engagement and community across the main social platforms
- Guide and support the marketing/social media team to achieve their goals and foster a cooperative environment
- Monitor, analyse, and evaluate media performance, generate data reports, and propose optimization measures

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee the Marketing department
- Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies, translating insights into actionable plans that align with Brent Street’s business goals and consumer needs
- Measure and analyse the performance of marketing initiatives to report to senior management on a weekly, monthly and ad hoc basis




- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to understand consumer behaviour, market trends, and competitor strategies, identifying opportunities for growth
- Be open to hearing and executing innovative ways of marketing the brand and reaching KPIs
- Plan, execute, and oversee marketing campaigns across multiple channels (digital, social media, email). Monitor performance, analyse results using statistical methods, and adjust strategies as needed to optimise effectiveness
- Maintain consistency in terms of copy, voice and tone as well as in relation to community engagement, across all social platforms
- In depth understanding and insights regarding customer journey and experience
- ADOBE Creative Suite Skills and implementation for editing and graphic design
- Sending out EDM’s and newsletters for Brent Street, Brent Street Agency and Focus Talent Management
- Creating and updating Student/Staff Handbooks, Course Prospectus’, Course Outlines and all other written guidelines for the brand (maintaining RTO compliance)
- Providing insights to the business based on digital marketing and data-driven sources (e.g., Google trends, Meta reports, competitor research, etc.)
- Develop and oversee the end-to-end process of google and meta ads.
- Oversee marketing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Track and analyse marketing metrics and KPIs using data analytics tools. Prepare and present detailed reports on campaign performance, ROI, and other key metrics to senior management, highlighting insights and actionable recommendations.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• someone with excellent writing skills, immaculate grammar and spelling, and loves to connect with a community/audience





• someone who’s got their finger ‘on-the-pulse’ and can not only engage with but create the next viral trends

• a leader who pioneers the development of marketing schedules/plans/analytics who can direct the Social Media & Content Manager to execute in line with company metrics and KPI's.

• a strong writer with excellent English (verbal and written)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• You know the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite inside and out (we use Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and Illustrator on the daily)

• You have experience with Buffer and Meta Business Suite for scheduling posts

• You have strong experience in video/photo/content creation and social media community engagement

• You know your way around social media platforms off by heart - Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, knowing what ‘goes off’ on each one

• You are proficient with Outlook, Teams and the Microsoft Office Suite

• You have experience working collaboratively with files and assets – keeping your desktop and folders organised and crisp clean!

• You possess leadership skills, setting the standard for the marketing team

DESIRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED) SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in the Performing Arts or Dance industry

• A strong/developed aesthetic and style of work

• Relevant tertiary qualification/experience
