Be responsible for providing support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. The role is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, process and reconcile accounting records, including all journal entries, account receivables, balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements;
- Reviewing expenses, payroll records etc. assigned;
- Review and update financial data in all applicable databases and CFD trading platforms as and when needed;
- Analyse and re-evaluate current transaction recording and payment processes, particularly in the CFD and derivatives space;
- Preparing, reviewing and analysing daily cash inflows and outflows report from multiple payment gateways and services;
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports including providing relevant information to assist with statutory audits;
- Conducting finance investigations and ensuring compliance with financial obligations for various licences/authorisations held by the business, including compliance with ASIC requirements
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings; and
- Assist with other accounting projects.
Who are you?
Essential:
- At least 2 years of operational finance experience gained in an Accountant role (or similar) in the CFD/Derivatives industry
- Exposure to and experience in the CFD/derivatives industry;
- Diligent attention to detail and excellent organisation skills;
- Passion for analytics and reporting with demonstrated experience in handling and analysing complex, high volume data
- An understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices in Australia and exposure to financial regulations in different jurisdictions;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software;
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
Desired:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced financial services, fintech or commercial finance organisation.
- Familiarity with accounting and financial reporting principles and practices in Indonesia and other jurisdictions.
- Fluency in Indonesian is desired, but not essential.
- Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot day-to-day issues
- Willingness to learn and to work in quick paced environment with a Can-Do attitude
- The ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
