Accounts Receivable Officer Your new company
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join the team. This role is responsible for maintaining customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, and supporting the wider finance function.The successful candidate will bring strong accounts receivable experience, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base, while adhering to all company procedures and policies.
Your new role
Managing collections for overdue accounts
Receipting and allocating incoming payments accurately
Administering customer accounts, including ongoing account maintenance and collections
Responding to and resolving customer billing queries
Making outbound calls to customers, including residents and families, with professionalism and empathy
Processing payments in a timely and accurate manner
Performing account reconciliations
Assisting with the preparation of month-end reports
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Receivable role
- Sound understanding of general accounting principles
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to engage with customers empathetically while maintaining professionalism
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidence in having transparent conversations and negotiating payment outcomes
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Empathy and patience
