Are you an experienced AP/AR qualified with leadership skills and a knack for process improvement? This is your opportunity to step into a dynamic role with a thriving business based in Cardiff. Leading a dedicated team of five, you’ll take charge of end-to-end AP/AR functions, drive efficiency, and play a key role in the financial operations of a well-established organisation.
The Role
As the AP/AR Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for managing and mentoring a high-performing team while overseeing the accounts payable and receivable processes. Your leadership will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, adherence to deadlines, and implementation of best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of five AP/AR professionals.
- Oversee all AP/AR functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing.
- Streamline processes and implement system improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Manage reconciliations, reporting, and compliance with internal policies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve account discrepancies.
- Provide regular performance updates and key metrics to management.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in AP/AR roles with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of accounts processes and financial controls.
- Proven ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve set goals.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and tools, such as MYOB or Xero.
- A proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
