We are partnering with an award-winning national law firm to recruit an experienced Associate for their Melbourne office. Joining a highly regarded Insurance & Health practice, you will sit within the Professional Indemnity team with a specific focus on Employment & Safety.

Key Responsibilities
You will manage a mix of front-end advisory and back-end litigation work across the full spectrum of workplace law. The role involves a combination of acting for insurers, insureds, and direct corporate clients.
- Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Represent clients in employment-related claims (unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination, sexual harassment) in the Federal Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court, Fair Work Commission, and relevant tribunals.
- Advisory: Provide counsel on employment terms, enterprise agreements, modern awards, legislative entitlements, and performance management.
- Drafting: Review and draft contracts of employment, settlement agreements,
enterprise agreements, and internal policies.
- Regulatory & Safety: Assist clients in defending OHS prosecutions and handling matters involving major regulators (e.g., EPA, ASIC, ACCC, IBAC, NHVR).
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a collaborative problem-solver who thrives on building strong client relationships.
We are looking for:
- Experience: 2-5 years PAE in employment law and/or occupational health and safety (exposure to insurance matters is highly desirable).
- Capability: Proven ability to efficiently manage your own file load.
