Do you love hair, makeup, or simply making someone feel special?






We’re looking for friendly, caring volunteers to help create a salon-like experience for aged care residents—an experience that’s about much more than just appearance. It’s about helping people feel beautiful, seen and valued.






As a Hair & Beauty Volunteer, you’ll help with:






- Light hairstyling or brushing



- Applying makeup (where appropriate and welcomed)



- Chatting about fashion and beauty while flipping through magazines



- Creating a warm, relaxed environment where each resident feels pampered and heard






You don’t need to be a qualified hairdresser or makeup artist—just someone who enjoys one-on-one conversations and has a gentle, respectful approach to helping others look and feel their best.






Whether it’s through a touch of lipstick, a styled fringe, or simply a kind chat over a magazine—your presence can brighten someone’s day in a truly meaningful way.







Your impact



Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

We would be delighted to talk with you about a suitable day and time, but ideally we are seeking someone to visit on Wednesday mornings between 10:30-11:30 (weekly or fortnightly).





18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare, NDIS Worker Screening Check •
