At Palm Lake Care Deception Bay, we’re seeking a passionate permanent Chef to elevate our dining experience. You’ll blend delicate flavours while meeting strict dietary, nutrition, and hydration needs.
Make Dining a Highlight
Dining is often the social heart of our residents’ day. You’ll:
- Manage special diets and fulfil resident wishes
- Work closely with the Chef Manager to prepare, present, and serve high-quality meals
- Ensure safe, exceptional service in a fast-paced kitchen
This role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic environment.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or working towards)
- 2+ years’ experience as a Chef/Cook
- Proven ability to lead a busy kitchen with multiple staff
- Strong communication and staff development focus
- Knowledge of hygiene practices
- Empathy for elderly residents and their families
- Positive attitude and teamwork ethos
Desirable
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Experience in Australian aged care
