Awell-established financial law firm in Brisbane is seeking an experiencedCommercial Lawyer to join their team. This is a rare opportunity to takeownership of a growing practice area within a firm known for its supportiveculture, high-quality work, and strong client relationships. The role will befed work from other areas of the business but will require a "gogetter" eager to build client relationships and grow a commercial team.
Your current role
Youwill play a key role in the firm's commercial practice, managing a diverserange of matters while contributing to the strategic growth of the team. Thework is varied and includes:
Key Responsibilities
- Managing commercial transactions for liquidators and receivers
- Collaborating with the finance and securities team, with scope to expand into this area if aligned with your strengths
- Operating autonomously while driving business development and client engagement
- Building out the commercial practice area and shaping its future direction
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years PAE in commercial law
- Strong technical skills across general commercial and transactional work
- Ability to work independently and manage files with minimal supervision
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset - a true "go-getter"
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
