Our CityCare team are currently looking for a full-time Community Worker to join the team for a 12-month contract, based at our Hills campus but covering the NSW North region. This role will be responsible for assisting with the organisation and evaluation of community-based development programs and services through coordinating daily activities for the program.

Other aspects of this role include:

Community Engagement

- Develop, maintain, and build positive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the program meets its objectives.

- Build networks and partnerships with other agencies and campus staff.

- Perform research to understand community needs in respect to providing a beneficial and valuable service, in partnership with CityCare State Manager.

- Model client service in building a solid referral system to ensure clients have options for holistic solutions as well as understand and apply strength-based & asset-based principles to interactions with clients.

- Understand and implement Social Development plans for locations in partnership with Campus Pastors, local councils & CityCare State Manager.

Volunteer Development

- Effectively recruit, train, and develop volunteers, in collaboration with Campus Pastors,



to facilitate program activities within the CityCare Mission and program outcomes.

- Effectively retain volunteers through ensuring their contributions are recognised and that they are cared for pastorally.

Administration

- In partnership with CityCare State Manager, effectively manage the finances for your program activities through ensuring timely payment of invoices and reconciliations while adhering to budget requirements.

- Plan, schedule and organise program activities to be outworked in partnership with schools, organisations and services.

- Follow and adhere to CityCare process and reporting requirements for program activities and volunteer recruitment.

- Manage volunteer recruitment, training and teams through Hillsong systems.

Program Coordination

- Support the development of activity plans to ensure the program works effectively.

- Report on, and evaluate, the progress of the program

- Facilitate CityCare Programs (i.e. Shine & Strength)

Ideally, the successful candidate will bring:

- Relevant tertiary qualification required

- Prior experience in Community Services preferred

- Strong communication skills, written & verbal.

- Strong relational skills in connecting with different people groups.

- Interculturally sensitive.

- Demonstrated basic analytical and evaluation skills.
