Description
We’re seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to play a key role supporting Program delivery within Northrop Grumman Australia’s Defence portfolio.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with Program leadership to provide commercial oversight, contract guidance, and risk-balanced advice, ensuring delivery of Sustainment and Through Life Support (TLS) services to the Commonwealth.
You’ll also contribute to shaping contract scope through Survey & Quote (S&Q;) activities and Contract Change Proposals (CCPs), helping drive program success while managing commercial risk.

What you’ll be doing
- Provide commercial and contractual advice to support program outcomes
- Lead or support contract change proposals, including negotiation and drafting
- Prepare and deliver S&Qs;, contract deliverables, and notifications
- Support key contract reviews (e.g. cost and performance reviews)
- Oversee delivery of services to ensure alignment with contracted scope
- Manage contractual disputes, claims,
and issues
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Commonwealth representatives
- Contribute as part of the Program Senior Leadership Team
What we’re looking for
You’re a commercially astute professional who thrives in complex Defence environments and can balance customer outcomes with business risk.
You will bring:
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Contract Law, or equivalent experience
- Experience in contract management within Defence, ideally using ASDEFCON templates
- Demonstrated experience preparing CCPs and S&Qs;
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve win-win outcomes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience leading or mentoring small teams
- A proactive, collaborative approach and strong stakeholder engagement skills

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen.
