Description & Requirements
We are looking for a Control Assurance Specialist with general IT & Cyber control testing experience to join our Sydney team on a 12-month contract.
The IT Control Assurance Specialist is a line 1 role, primarily providing support to IT and PMO business units primarily on the design and execution of local and global control assurance activities.

Key responsibilities
- Perform local and global control testing, challenging the business on design and operational effectiveness of controls to provide first line control assurance to manage organisational risks and regulatory requirements and enable the achievement of business objectives.
- Assist in documenting and advising the business on an effective control environment, and where a process or control may require remediation, work with the business to make pragmatic, valuable enhancements and track the remediation to resolution.
- Assist in reporting assurance activities and results to senior leadership.
- Working as part of an integrated business unit to effectively communicate departmental objectives to staff and ensure they are delivered on time.
Qualifications and Soft Skills
- Significant experience in IT audit, assurance and compliance.
- General control testing experience in IT & Cyber.
- Strong stakeholder management experience across various functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication & strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Investigative, inquisitorial, analytical and research skills.
- Ability to enforce compliance with laws and LSM business values.
