Your new role
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, modelling and transforming complex datasets to support analytics, reporting and business decision-making. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to design, build and maintain reliable, high-quality data solutions across multiple programs and projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing data pipelines, data models and analytics solutions across enterprise systems
- Performing data acquisition, extraction, transformation and reporting in line with business requirements
- Providing technical input into data architecture, infrastructure and solution design
- Collaborating with stakeholders to determine optimal approaches to data reporting and analysis
- Ensuring data quality, reliability, efficiency and compliance with security standards
- Supporting ICT programs and projects through solution development and documentation
- Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives within the data and analytics function
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong experience in data engineering, data modelling and analytics within complex environments
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (Oracle or similar)
- Hands-on experience with data discovery and reporting tools such as Power BI, Qlik or similar
- Experience designing and maintaining robust data pipelines and data sets
- Understanding of statistical and analytical techniques
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience working across projects, including business requirements, documentation and solution delivery
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines
