What you'll need to succeed
- Sentencing legacy correspondence Archives Office of NSW files dating from 1965 to 1999 using GA28, FA225, and FA402.
- Experience using State Records NSW Disposal Authorities including GA28 and functional disposal authorities preferred. Files identified as State archives will be listed and boxed for transfer to State archives. Files identified for destruction will be listed and boxed. Updating of metadata to CM10 may also be required.
What you'll get in return
Knowledge of State Records Act Requirements
- Understanding of the State Records Act and associated instruments
- Understanding of the Records Management Standard and associated guidance on digitisation of hardcopy records published by State Records
- Understanding of disposal processes under the State Records Act in particular GA45
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to draft records digitisation procedural documentation that will be followed by other staff
- Ability to identify and develop a forward digitisation work plan for low volume in house digitisation initiative
- Experience with software used in digitisation of hardcopy records (i.e. AbbyFinereader, EzyScan etc)
- Experience with managing hardcopy records
