Position Details
We are now seeking a Director, Employee Relations & HR Policy (APAC) to lead our regional ER/IR strategy, partnering with senior leaders to enable performance, manage risk and help maintain a high-performing, values-driven workforce.
This is a critical leadership role within our APAC HR team—ideal for someone who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and brings both strategic influence and deep technical expertise in industrial relations.
What you’ll be responsible for
You will take ownership of Employee & Industrial Relations across APAC, including:
Strategic Leadership
- Shape and execute Lineage’s ER/IR strategy across the region
- Provide trusted, expert counsel to senior leaders on complex workforce matters
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities and proactively drive solutions
Enterprise Bargaining & IR Excellence
- Lead end-to-end enterprise/collective agreement negotiations
- Drive strategy, bargaining, drafting and successful approvals
- Partner with Payroll and Legal to ensure seamless implementation
Dispute Resolution & Advocacy
- Manage Fair Work Commission matters (unfair dismissal, general protections, etc.)
- Represent the business in tribunals and regulatory proceedings
- Oversee complex investigations and ER cases across jurisdictions
Capability Building
- Uplift ER capability across the HR function
- Coach and guide HRBPs to effectively manage employee relations matters
- Embed consistent frameworks, policies, and operating standards
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with:
- Senior executives and operational leaders
- Union representatives and delegates
- External legal advisors and regulatory bodies
What you bring
We are looking for a seasoned ER/IR leader who combines commercial acumen, influence, and technical depth:
- Extensive experience in Employee Relations / Industrial Relations
- Proven experience across APAC markets (highly desirable)
- An impressive track record in leading enterprise bargaining and union engagement
- Deep knowledge of employment law, awards, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience representing organisations in tribunals and legal matters
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and navigate complex stakeholder environments
- Experience operating within a global, matrixed organisation (preferred)
