Overview
Our commercial client seeks an Education Consultant (Business Analyst) for an initial 3-month contract, likely to extend. The role focuses on improving school performance, enhancing programs, and promoting sustainable practices. Key tasks include co-authoring consultation reports, ensuring quality assurance, and providing expert advice on professional development, teaching strategies, and resource allocation to drive student and community success.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate requirements for changes to processes, policies, and systems.
- Identify stakeholder needs and ensure their concerns are integrated into project outcomes.
- Analyze and optimize current business processes, identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement strategies, incorporating best practices and standards.
- Develop and monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of solutions.
- Work with the Foundations for Success Program Team to uncover systemic trends and insights in BCE schools.
- Foster a culture of innovation to enhance learning experiences for students, families, and staff.
- Integrate school consultation processes with BCE performance data for a comprehensive analysis of challenges and opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to generate recommendations for improving school performance and sustainability.
- Create detailed business cases for approved projects, including success metrics and resource estimates.
- Engage with stakeholders across all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
- Contribute to developing capabilities and operations within the Foundations for Success Team and support other initiatives as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Solid knowledge of school administration, classroom dynamics, and educational policies and standards.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, adept at simplifying complex ideas, fostering collaboration, and producing detailed reports and documentation with precision.
- An creative approach to improving educational environments and enriching the learning experiences of all stakeholders.
- Proficient in analyzing workflows and systems to identify areas of improvement and deliver actionable, data-backed recommendations.
- Highly capable problem-solver, skilled at tackling challenges and implementing effective, pragmatic solutions.
- Strong understanding of business operations, coupled with strategic thinking to align insights with organizational objectives.
- Skilled at building meaningful relationships with students, educators, and families through empathy, understanding, and clear communication.
- Creative thinker with a proactive approach to addressing distinctive challenges in the education sector.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in education with post graduate degree qualifications in leadership preferred. •
- A demonstrated track record of recent achievement as a principal of a BCE primary, secondary or P-12 school.
- Hold a valid or willing to obtain a Working With Children Check (Blue Card) at own expense.
- Current/valid Queensland Driver’s licence
