About Us:

RESQ Plus (RESQ) is responsible for delivering an integrated and flexible approach to employment services and workforce development activities for Job Seekers living in South West and Central West Queensland. This outcome is a key component of the Community Development Program (CDP) whereby RESQ works closely with CDP participants to develop skills, overcome barriers, and contribute to growing strong, sustainable, resilient communities. Through regular consultation, we partner with local community organisations including Indigenous stakeholders to create meaningful activities for our participants and local communities.

About the Role:

Full-time position based in Longreach (travel required).

As an Employment Consultant (EC) your role will be to help people so they can become work ready to find suitable and sustainable employment.

Such as offering invaluable support in crafting resumes, preparing job applications, mastering interview techniques, and providing post-employment assistance to guarantee ongoing job placement.

Helping job seekers identify their skills and abilities, secure employment, and increase job seekers’ capacity for employment through training and other support services.

Your role will provide guidance on both vocational and non-vocational challenges,



ensuring job seekers fulfill their mutual obligations and meet job search requirements set by Services Australia.

Required for the Role:

- Current QLD Class “C” driver’s licence

- Current police clearance or willingness to obtain

- Eligibility to work in Australia

- General computer literacy

- Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite

- Certificate IV in Employment Services preferred (or willingness to obtain)
