Due to sustained growth, this confidential client is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their Southport-based head office finance team. The business is a market leader in its sector and offers long-term career development within a stable and growing environment.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Executive Team, this is a hands-on Financial Accountant position with broad exposure across the business. You will take ownership of core accounting functions, management reporting, and financial controls across a multi-branch operation. This role will suit a commercially minded finance qualified looking to step into a broader leadership position.
What you'll need to succeed

- Degree qualification in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial accounting role
- Strong exposure across general ledger, P&L;,



balance sheet reconciliations, and management reporting
- Experience using integrated accounting systems (ICE or similar advantageous)
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Demonstrated capability to mentor or lead team members
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and commercially focused
- Reliable, professional, and deadline-driven
