We are currently seeking a Casual Barista to join our Food & Beverage team. Based in our lively café space, this role is perfect for someone who is passionate about coffee and enjoys creating a warm, welcoming experience for every guest. You’ll also have the opportunity to support other areas of the department such as breakfast service or events, depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso coffee and other café beverages to order
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the café area, including coffee machine upkeep
• Provide friendly and engaging service to both hotel guests and external visitors
• Assist with food service including light meals, pastries, and snacks
• Support café operations including opening/closing duties and stock rotation
• Upsell daily specials and menu items where appropriate
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
Qualifications
• Previous barista experience in a busy café or hospitality environment (minimum 6 months)
• Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, milk texturing, and grinder calibration
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A positive, can-do attitude and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work across a flexible roster including mornings, weekends, and public holidays
• A polished and professional appearance with solid communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
• A team player who takes pride in their work and contributes to a positive team culture
