Job Description

At GYG its all about the Food! The Food Safety & Vendor Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality across all Guzman y Gomez Restaurants in Victoria. Working collaboratively with Culinary, Operations Solutions, Customer Service and Operations departments. Continuous improvement will be a key focus to reduce risk, simplify procedures and ensure 100% operational execution and brand protection via timely management of critical complaints. Also assisting in vendor assurance programs to guarantee the delivery of premium ingredients.

The role:

- Food Safety Management
- Restaurant Visits & Coaching, ensuring compliance and consistency of food
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality ingredients and identify areas for improvement
- Proactively address challenges and drive innovation within the food safety program

You’ll enjoy this role if you have:





- Qualifitications in Food Science & Technology or a closely related field is preferred
- Passionate about food safety and quality
- Solid experience in QSR restaurant operations, hospitality, or food & beverage is highly desirable
- Excellent coaching, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with food safety management systems
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to travel within Victoria and occasionally interstate
