Handy Helper Wanted at Erina! Maintenance Volunteering role.




Do you have a bit of free time and enjoy fixing things or getting your hands in the garden? We’re looking for a handy, practical volunteer to support our property team with light maintenance and gardening tasks in our dementia‑specific cottages at Erina.





Your tasks may include tidying gardens, pruning, minor repairs, changing light globes, BBQ checks, pressure‑washing paths, painting, and lubricating door locks.





While the focus is on maintenance, you’ll also have the chance to connect with residents, adding warmth and purpose to your visits.









Your impact





Volunteering as a Maintenance Handyperson Volunteer can be a rewarding experience, both for the people you interact with as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. In your daily tasks and routine, you will cross paths with residents interested in what you are doing and who love a chat.

Requirements

18 years or older • NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare





The commitment is one hour per week for a minimum of 6 months. We would be delighted to talk with you about a suitable day and time during the week (Monday to Friday).​
