As our Retail Manager (General), candidates will play a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager to achieve operational objectives and financial targets. Candidates will manage business systems, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and lead staff across all store operations. The candidate’s Key Responsibilities & Duties
â Determines product mix, stock levels and service standards
â Formulates and implements purchasing and marketing policies, and sets prices
â Promotes and advertises the establishment's goods and services
â Sells goods and services to customers and advises them on product use
â Maintains records of stock levels and financial transactions
â Undertakes budgeting for the establishment
â Controls selection, training and supervision of staff
â Ensures compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with inventory control systems, POS systems, and bookkeeping
software.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, and training staff within a Human Resources and Work Health
& Safety framework.
- Previous experience working and living in regional remote communities.
- A sound knowledge of indigenous culture and employment barriers within remote settings.
- Exceptional multitasking, prioritizing, and problem -solving abilities.
- Well -developed emotional intelligence and effective communication skills.
- Robust decision -making capabilities under pressure and proficiency in Microsoft Office
