Real-time risk intelligence role for a leading global Insurer Your new company
Join a global leading insurer operating in a highly complex, data-driven environment. This organisation is recognised for its market leadership, strong operational capability, and investment in risk intelligence and advanced analytics. You'll be joining a lean, high-performing team with solid visibility across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders on real-world, high-impact scenarios. The team sits at the intersection of data, operations, and risk, with a strong focus on proactive decision-making and continuous improvement.
Your recent role
• Monitor and interpret external risks and emerging events in real time e.g. weather events
• Analyse multi-source data to deliver actionable insights (scientific and data analysis)
• Brief senior stakeholders and influence operational decision-making
• Support business planning, operational readiness, and live incident response
• Work cross-functionally with frontline and operational teams in high-pressure scenarios.
What you'll need to succeed
• Background in meteorology, atmospheric science,
or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• And/or exposure to catastrophe management, particularly for an Insurer
• Experience interpreting weather or environmental data
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
• Strong communication skills e.g. technical to non-technical
• Ability to work on site 4-5 days per week (essential requirement)
