We are partnering with a highly regarded accounting firm that is experiencing continued growth and is looking to add a motivated Intermediate Accountant to its Business Services & Tax team.

The Role Working closely with experienced Managers and Partners, you will gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio while further developing your technical and advisory skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
- Exposure to a broad range of taxation matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Division 7A
- Assisting with tax planning and tax advisory matters
- Maintaining client asset registers, reconciliations and adjusting journals
- Liaising directly with clients, the ATO and other external stakeholders
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Working closely with senior team members on complex client matters
- Assisting with workflow management and meeting compliance deadlines
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
- Identifying opportunities to add value to clients and contribute to business growth
About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Degree qualified in Accounting
- CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards completion
- 2-4 years of Australian public practice experience
- Strong understanding of business services and taxation compliance
- Experience using Xero and Class Super
- Handisoft experience will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship
