PanAust Limited is an Australian-headquartered copper and gold mining company with operations in Laos, and pre-development assets in Papua New Guinea and Chile.

In Laos, PanAust owns a 90 per cent interest in Phu Bia Mining Limited with the Government of Laos owning the remaining 10 per cent. Phu Bia Mining owns and operates PanAust’s two award winning operations – Phu Kham Copper-Gold and Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver, both located in Xaisomboun Province, 120km north of Vientiane.

In Papua New Guinea, PanAust holds a 100 per cent interest in the Frieda River Limited Copper-Gold project, which is a transformative pre-development integrated mining, renewable energy and infrastructure project.

In Chile, PanAust holds a 66 per cent interest in the Inca de Oro Copper-Gold Project through a Chilean incorporated joint venture company, Inca de Oro S. A.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Internal Controls Superintendent to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term basis, working in our Corporate Head Office in Fortitude Valley’s James Street precinct. Reporting to the Group Manager Internal Controls, the role will be responsible for supporting the effective operation of our internal controls framework, and ensuring business compliance with our governance and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Work closely with the Internal Control Manager to ensure ongoing adherence to Group‑wide policies and procedures

- Advise and support business areas to identify, design,



and implement key process controls that effectively manage risk exposure

- Lead and perform periodic internal control and internal audit reviews to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities

- Lead and liaise with internal and external stakeholders during shareholder audits and other audits or compliance review activities requested by PanAust’s shareholder

- Support the Internal Control Function by preparing reports for senior management, the Board, and the shareholder on matters relating to shareholder audits, compliance, and internal processes and controls

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline with professional qualifications (CA, CPA) is required for the role

- Demonstrated ability to independently lead control reviews, audits, and stakeholder engagements with minimal supervision

- Strong understanding of corporate policies, procedures, and control frameworks, ideally within complex or multinational organisations

- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse business areas and seniority levels

- High level of analytical capability, attention to detail, and sound judgement in evaluating control effectiveness





- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines

- Ability to prepare clear, concise reports for senior management, Boards, and external stakeholders

- Written and spoken Chinese language skills are highly desirable, given the need to liaise with PanAust’s shareholder and external stakeholders
