Our client is an Australian wide printing centre located in Chullora. We are looking for a reliable and experienced Machine Operator to commence on day shift. Full training will be provided and work will commence next week.
Your duties will include:
- Operate and maintain equipment pertaining to the production of newspapers - this is a hands on role
- Reel stand operation - working on stripping stations, monitoring machines, reporting faults and checking for product damage
- Working as part of a small team
- Liaison with internal departments in regards to electrical and mechanical faults
- Meeting KPI targets in regards to housekeeping and safety
- Multi tasking and prioritising workload
Requirements
To be successful in this position you will:
- Have experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing setting
- Be able to work day shift Monday to Friday with varied start times eg: could be 7am, 8am or 9am with occasional earlier starts. Training will be performed on night shift for 2 to 3 weeks.
- Have excellent time management skills & attention to detail
- Have strong communication skills and be able to lead a small team
- A strong safety focus as well as a strong focus on quality of work
- Be able to work autonomously and meet deadlines
