About the Role
This role is ideally suited to a skilled accounting professional with a knack for providing actionable insights and improving financial processes. Our team is seeking a Management Accountant in this newly created position and to play a key role in supporting the Operational Accounting function. Ideally, you will have honed your skill within a Big 4 environment and possess 1-2 years commercial experience. You will be comfortable dealing with larger, fast growing, more complex groups and have a team first mentality.
This is a broad all-encompassing role covering several key responsibilities, including;
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance Management: Assist with timely and accurate BAS, income tax, FBT, and payroll tax reporting.
- Financial Control: Oversee bank reconciliations, customer/supplier ledgers, and intercompany transactions.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Collaborate with budget owners to prepare, integrate, and review budgets and financial reports.
- Operational Support: Address operational queries, provide monthly P&L; variance analysis, and track KPIs.
- Analytics & Insights: Leverage analytics to uncover insights and support informed decision-making.
- Month-End Process: Manage the full month-end process, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Cash Flow Management: Review accounts payable and receivable to ensure robust cash flow management.
- Audit Preparation: Play a critical role in the year-end audit process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine internal processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

- CA or CPA or equivalent qualification.
- 4–5 years’ experience in management or financial accounting, delivering timely and accurate month-end reporting.
- Strong technical/commercial accounting knowledge.
- Proficiency in financial systems. Experience with Sage would be held in high regard as would strong excel capability.
