Opposite Lock Cardiff is seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our dedicated team in Cardiff, NSW. In this full time role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of 4x4 and off-road vehicles, ensuring they are operating efficiently and safely.
What you'll be doing
- Performing routine servicing and maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, brake inspections, Tyre Fitting, wheel alignments and Fitting accessories Bull bars, Lift Kits, Long Range Fuel tanks.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, such as engine problems, transmission failures, and electrical faults
- Conducting pre-purchase inspections and providing detailed reports to customers
- Collaborating with the team to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within set timeframes
- Maintaining detailed records of all work performed and parts used
- Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
What we're looking for
- Trade qualification in Automotive Mechanics or a related field
- Must have pink slip Licence
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic, preferably in the 4x4 or off-road vehicle industry
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills to liaise with customers and team members
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively both independently and as part of a team
