Payroll Accountant

We are currently partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Payroll Accountant to join their finance team.

This role will suit someone with strong end-to-end payroll experience who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and can confidently manage both payroll and accounting responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

- Processing end-to-end fortnightly payroll for approximately 250 employees
- Managing payroll administration across multiple systems, including onboarding, time and attendance and payroll processing
- Ensuring payroll compliance with Awards, EBAs, legislation and company policies
- Handling payroll queries and resolving payroll discrepancies
- Preparing payroll journals, reconciliations and statutory reporting
- Supporting month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and performing daily bank reconciliations
- Providing backup support to accounts payable when required
- Assisting with payroll system improvements and process efficiencies

The successful candidate will have:

- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Experience in accounting functions such as reconciliations, journals, accruals, and month-end reporting
- Strong systems aptitude and the ability to work across multiple payroll and finance platforms
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, self-sufficient approach with robust problem-solving abilities




- Solid communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
