The Role

- Lead the company's privacy function and act as the key point of contact for all privacy-related matters across the business.
- Develop, implement and maintain privacy frameworks, policies and procedures to support compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards.
- Provide practical advice to stakeholders on privacy obligations, data handling, consent, retention and risk management.
- Partner with teams across the business including legal, risk, technology, customer service and operations to embed privacy by design into projects and processes.
- Manage privacy impact assessments and support risk reviews for new initiatives, systems and business changes.
- Investigate privacy incidents, manage breach response processes and support reporting obligations where required.
- Deliver training and awareness programs to uplift understanding of privacy responsibilities across the organisation.
- Monitor regulatory developments and emerging privacy issues, and translate them into clear, commercially relevant guidance for the business.
- Support audits,



reporting and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the company's overall privacy maturity.

About You

- You have proven experience in privacy, risk, compliance or legal roles, ideally within property, residential, real estate or a similarly regulated workplace.
- You bring a solid understanding of Australian privacy legislation and a practical approach to applying it in a business setting.
- You are confident advising senior stakeholders and can balance regulatory requirements with commercial outcomes.
- You have strong policy, governance and incident management capability, with the ability to work through both strategic and operational matters.
- You are a clear communicator who can explain complex privacy issues in a way that is easy for others to understand and act on.
- You're proactive, organised and comfortable working across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
- You enjoy building relationships, influencing change and helping create a culture of accountability and care around personal information.
- Relevant qualifications in law, compliance, risk, governance or privacy will be highly regarded.
