Dermcare-Vet is an Australian owned veterinary pharmaceutical company that develops medicated skin treatments for animals with allergies, skin disease and ear problems in Australia and overseas markets. We are seeking a versatile, experienced, and practical person with machinery skills to join our team. In this role, your key areas of accountability will include:

Machinery

- Install, commission, and troubleshoot new or modified plant and equipment.
- Repairing and maintenance of used process equipment to operational level or modify to suit our needs.
- Troubleshooting of any non-performing equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance of equipment.

Production

- Operation of plant and equipment in accordance with procedures.
- Blending and packing of liquid/cream product batches, recording process information, including entering batch comments, and conducting in process checks.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Work Area

- Setup and cleaning of manufacturing equipment, including filling and labelling equipment.
- Adhering to cleaning requirements after each batch and additional monthly cleans.

Documentation

- Ensure that documentation is completed in a timely manner, current, transparent accurate and compliant with the Code of GMP.




- Input on the documentation of use and maintenance instructions for equipment.
- Assist with validation activities and execution of protocols for reporting.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

- Experience in current GMP regulatory standards (APVMA, TGA).
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic or FMCG industries.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing principles, particularly clean room gowning and behaviours.
- Knowledge of and experience with the use and maintenance of process equipment.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, a trade qualification would be very highly regarded.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks to a high standard.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to comfortably build rapport with personnel across all levels.
- Sound mathematical skills.
- Own transport.
- A forklift licence would be highly regarded.
