Our Client based in South-West Sydney, is actively searching for a Recreational & Open Space Planner to join their Planning division for an initial 6 month contract. This agile team oversees projects including parks, sports grounds, community buildings, playgrounds and social infrastructure.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
In this position, you will play a key role in implementing recreation projects to support the Planning division, from developing project plans through to project completion. Your skills in project management will play a key role in the success of your management of diverse consultant disciplines.
DUTIES.
- Develop and update policies and strategies
- Implement Council's community planning program
- Reviewing and analysing social impact assessments
- Provide advice and guidance to Council and stakeholders
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
- Tertiary qualifications in Open Space,
Urban Planning or equivalent
- Experience working with open space projects and works on masterplans
- Strong community planning, including consultation experience
- Unrestricted Driver's License
