Job Title: AHPRA Mental Health Nurse

Location: Various Location Across Australia

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Job Description:

We are seeking compassionate and skilled AHPRA Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our dedicated healthcare TALENT POOL. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients with mental health conditions, helping them achieve optimal mental and emotional well-being. Your role will involve comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with mental health conditions.

- Conduct detailed patient assessments and develop individualised care plans.

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by mental health practitioners.

- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.

- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.

- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatments, and coping strategies.

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including care plans and progress notes.

- Adhere to mental health policies, protocols, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing.

- Licensure: Current active registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.

- Experience: At least 3 years of work experience in mental health nursing.

- Certification: Certification in mental health nursing is highly desirable.

- Vaccinations:



Up-to-date with annual flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.

- Work Rights: Must have full work rights in Australia or can be sponsored.

- Clinical Skills: Proficiency in clinical skills and patient care management, including administering medications and therapeutic interventions.

- Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.

- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and independently.

- Compassion: A compassionate and patient-centered approach to mental health care.

- Adaptability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

- Technical Skills: Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

- Knowledge: Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques.

- Cultural Competency: Experience working in a multicultural environment and understanding of cultural sensitivities.
