About the role
MSS Security is seeking a casual Security officer - Reliever to join our team and work across different sites in Townsville.
This position requires a 24/7 availability, as there is no set roster.
To succeed in this role, you will bring experience in a customer facing role, strong communication and de-escalation skills.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide security services across a range of government, industrial, and public sites.
- Conduct patrols, monitor site activity, and maintain a safe and secure setting.
- Perform gatehouse, access control, and visitor screening duties in line with site procedures.
- Deliver professional customer service while assisting staff, visitors, and contractors onsite.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns promptly while maintaining accurate reports and communication.
Requirements:
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Valid QLD Security License
- Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Blue card (or willing to obtain)
- Willing to undergo a National Police Check
- Willing to undergo a medical assessment, if required.
- 24/7 availability (including weekends)
