A highly regarded specialist insurance law firm is looking to appoint an experienced professional indemnity lawyer (4+ PQE) to join its established Brisbane-based insurance team. This chance suits a senior practitioner seeking high-quality work, autonomy, and a supportive team culture within a firm known for its technical excellence in insurance litigation.





The Opportunity





You will be responsible for advising and acting on a diverse portfolio of professional indemnity claims, primarily within financial lines insurance. Matters are complex, high value, and intellectually engaging, involving claims against professionals such as accountants, financial advisers, insolvency practitioners, company directors and officers, as well as exposure to claims involving property, construction, and design professionals.





In addition to defence work, the role provides the opportunity to contribute to policy interpretation and coverage advice, working closely with insurer clients and key stakeholders.

About You





This role will suit a lawyer who:





- Has 4+ years PQE in defendant insurance litigation






- Brings strong experience in professional indemnity matters


- Is confident managing files autonomously from commencement through to resolution


- Enjoys direct client engagement and building long-term professional relationships


- Values teamwork, flexibility, and high-quality legal work


- Experience gained within a leading insurance or commercial litigation practice will be highly regarded.
