DWS is seeking a Senior Java Developer - Banking to support a high-priority Technology Risk Remediation initiative within a complex Business Lending environment. This role is ideal for professionals with strong hands-on Java expertise and proven banking or financial services experience , who can step into a regulated enterprise environment and deliver value with minimal ramp-up. The program has solid executive visibility and requires engineers who are confident operating within large-scale, high-risk platforms.

Key requirements:

- Very strong Java development capability, gained within banking or financial services environments
- .NET experience is desirable
- Strong scripting skills, with PowerShell highly regarded
- Significant experience working in complex, regulated enterprise platforms
- Demonstrated ability to contribute quickly and operate effectively in high-visibility delivery programs

Highly regarded experience:

- Prior experience within a tier-one banking organisation
- Hands-on experience working in microservices architectures, particularly NEF
- Experience with Kafka topics and event-driven systems
- Exposure to OpenSearch, or involvement in Splunk to OpenSearch migration programs
