Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Parts Interpreter to take charge of parts operations in a busy workshop workplace. This is a senior-level role, ideally suited to someone with strong technical parts knowledge and leadership capability in the heavy vehicle sector particularly across European truck brands.

You'll play a key role in ensuring fast, accurate parts supply to both the workshop floor and external customers, while overseeing inventory, supplier relationships, and stock control systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, locate, and supply parts for Scania, Volvo, and other heavy transport vehicles

- Provide technical support and parts interpretation for workshop technicians

- Manage inventory levels, purchasing, stocktakes, and supplier coordination

- Process quotes, orders, and invoices with accuracy and efficiency

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product changes and part number cross-referencing

- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external clients





- Contribute to process improvements and team training as a senior member of the department

- Support workshop planning by aligning parts availability with job scheduling

- Ensure all parts operations meet safety, quality, and compliance standards

Skills & Experience Required

- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Parts Interpreter role, ideally in heavy vehicle transport or dealership environments

- Advanced knowledge of Scania and/or Volvo truck components is highly desirable

- Strong supplier management and inventory control skills

- Familiarity with parts management software (e.g. Pentana, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)

- Excellent communication, time management, and customer service abilities

- Forklift licence desirable

- Current manual drivers licence essential
