Senior Solicitor wanted for an in-house insurance legal role to lead a team.We are working with a well-regarded insurance organisation seeking a Senior Solicitor to lead and mentor a claims-focused legal team in an in-house environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PI / Insurance lawyer who enjoys combining technical excellence, people leadership, and strategic input-without the pressures of private practice.

The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will:

- Lead, coach, and support a team of solicitors managing insurance claims
- Provide high-level legal advice across personal injury and insurance matters
- Oversee complex and high-value claims from early strategy through to resolution
- Work closely with claims teams and internal stakeholders to deliver commercial, timely outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement in claims handling, risk management, and litigation strategy
- Contribute to broader legal and business initiatives within the organisation

About You
You will likely bring:





- Admission as an Australian legal practitioner
- Strong background in personal injury and/or insurance law (plaintiff or defendant)
- Experience leading or supervising lawyers, or clear readiness to step into a leadership role
- Excellent judgement, communication skills, and a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset
- A genuine interest in mentoring others and building a nonperforming, supportive team
