A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a high-performing and collaborative team within a well-established, South Australian organisation.This role plays a key part in delivering accurate, compliant and timely payroll services across multiple entities, supporting a diverse and growing workforce.

Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing and support the wider team with payroll operations and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:

- End-to-end weekly and monthly payroll processing across multiple entities
- Processing new starters, terminations, reimbursements and payroll adjustments
- Interpreting awards, agreements and ensuring legislative compliance
- Preparing termination calculations, leave reconciliations and back pay
- Managing STP submissions, payroll journals and reporting requirements
- Processing superannuation, payroll tax and statutory obligations
- Responding to payroll queries and providing support to stakeholders
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within payroll





What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a payroll position
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and compliance
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end payroll in a high-volume environment
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
Experience with systems such as UKG, MYOB or Xero will be highly regarded.
