Sydney

At Charter Hall, we’ve been shaping Australia’s property landscape for over three decades. We are the country’s leading fully integrated diversified property investment and funds management group, trusted for our scale, expertise and performance. Our focus is on high-quality, well-located assets that deliver long-term, sustainable returns for our investors – and enable our tenants to work, grow and connect.

We’re listed on the ASX100 and manage a diverse range of funds across Office, Industrial & Logistics, Retail, Diversified and Social Infrastructure. But beyond the numbers, we’re driven by a clear purpose: to create better futures and deliver long-lasting value.

Our values guide everything we do:

- Active Partnership – We listen deeply and collaborate meaningfully.

- Genuine Insight – We unlock growth through intelligence and understanding.

- Inventive Spirit – We explore possibilities with creativity and discipline.

- – We act with passion, resilience, and transparency.

About the opportunity:

Motivated by continuous improvement, emerging technologies and automation, the Technical Specialist thrives on solving challenges end-to-end: listening, advising and aligning stakeholders on the right outcome, then getting hands-on to prototype, configure, build, integrate, test and support solutions that are safe, usable and measurable. You will stay current on Microsoft’s evolving Modern Work and Copilot roadmap, and you’ll have the curiosity and discipline to learn new tools quickly (for example, Power Platform and Copilot Studio) as business needs and platform capabilities evolve.

What you'll be doing

- Facilitate discovery with stakeholders (workshops, interviews, process walkthroughs) to clarify problems, desired outcomes, constraints and success measures.
- Translate business needs into user stories, lightweight requirements and solution options, making trade-offs clear (value, time, risk, cost, supportability).
- Co-design with end users, validate with rapid demos/prototypes, and partner on change management and adoption (communications, training, champions).
- Act as a trusted advisor, bringing a point of view on emerging technologies, platform capabilities, and governance rather than simply taking orders.
- Improve & innovate: Identify opportunities, prototype quickly, then scale what works into supportable solutions.
- Microsoft 365 engineering: Own and continuously improve key Microsoft 365 capabilities (e.g., Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, collaboration and productivity experiences)
- Security & compliance: Build secure-by-default solutions and help stakeholders understand risk and privacy obligations.
- Plan & align: Help shape the roadmap, balancing demand, risk, capacity and time-to-value.
- Design:

Create lightweight solution designs that work for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- AI & automation: Apply approved patterns (Copilot/Power Platform) with strong governance, privacy and cost controls.
- Build: Configure and deliver workflows, integrations and automations, including rapid PoCs.
- Support: Provide expert operational support and drive root-cause fixes.
- Measure outcomes: Agree and track success metrics (adoption, UX, availability, security, cost).
