The Theatre Technician works within established procedures and guidelines and undertakes work of a more complex nature rotating through all rotating through all Operating Lists and areas of the Department or Unit.
They will function without direct supervision but under the supervision of Grade 3 or 4 Theatre Technicians and will be assisted in learning and developing in this role by these more senior staff members.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Undergoing training to complete Certificate III-Health Service Assistance (Operating Theatre Technician Work) and a minimum six months experience as Theatre Technician. Automatic progression to Grade 3 will occur on successful completion of the Certificate III.
- Current understanding of legislation and standards related to OH&S;, Compliance issues, & Workcover.
