Our Hills team is currently seeking a Wildlife Oversight to join our staff. This role provides pastoral leadership and oversight for Year 10–12 students at the Hills Campus, fostering their spiritual growth, well-being, and development. The position also involves equipping volunteers to create a caring, empowering, and connected environment while strengthening youth and young adult ministries through leadership development and discipleship.
Other aspects of this role include:
Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all Year 10–12 programs, teams, and initiatives.
- Cultivate a culture of spiritual growth, pastoral care, and leadership development.
- Lead and empower teams to ensure students are engaged, supported, and thriving.
- Actively engage and collaborate with parents as key partners in leadership, communication, and student development.
- Uphold Secure Church standards, ensuring all interactions and programs reflect integrity and care.
Discipleship & Spiritual Growth
- Develop and strengthen programs like RDGs, recent faith pathways, and discipleship initiatives.
- Foster engagement and connection for students recent to faith or new to church.
- Train and equip leaders to disciple, mentor, and pastor students effectively.
- Innovate and expand pathways for Year 10–12s to grow in faith, leadership, and belonging across campus.
- Partner with parents and families to support and equip them in their children's discipleship journey.
Administration & Pastoral Support
- Oversee student care systems, including Planning Center, and maintain accurate pastoral records.
- Serve as a primary pastoral contact for everyone involved in Wildlife ministry.
- Ensure timely reporting of safety concerns in collaboration with Safe Church and Campus Leadership.
- Provide pastoral support for volunteers and teams, fostering a culture of well-being and care.
- Facilitate pastoral support for life events, including relationships, trauma, hospital visits, funerals, and home visitations.
Campus Support
- Support campus-wide initiatives, events, and leadership development efforts.
- Contribute to strategic discussions for church-wide leadership and engagement.
- Provide pastoral leadership beyond youth assisting with congregation-wide needs as required.
- Collaborate with campus teams to strengthen unity, culture, and overall church health.
Ideally, the successful candidate will bring:
- Experience in leading, caring for and pastoring people is essential.
- Tertiary qualifications in areas of Theology or Christian Ministry.
- Minimum 2 years key volunteer leadership role.
- Ability to lead and develop volunteers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate and holistic approach to people leadership and development.
- Proven aptitude for team building.
- Pastoral counselling ability + willingness.
