ABOUT THE ROLE
Glen Eira City Council now have an prospect for a Manager of Park Services to revitalise the way services are delivered to our highly engaged community.
Reporting to the Director Sustainability, Assets and Leisure, Parks Services is the in-house provider for the maintenance and management of Glen Eira’s much envied portfolio of open space assets. In this role you will be tasked with leading and supporting a team of 65 staff with 4 distinct teams across the areas of Open Space Maintenance, Sports Turf and Facilities, Urban Forests and Open Space Asset Management.

ABOUT YOU
Your key aim, as the Manager of the Parks Services Department is to work in partnership with stakeholders, both internal and external, to maintain our existing parks & recreational assets and places as well as create new, vibrant, and sustainable ones that meet the current and future needs of our community.
You will be an experienced leader who is equally comfortable managing our extensive internal workforce and external contracts in the delivery of our extensive scope of work. Your experience in project delivery and contemporary project management methodologies will see an uplift in the way Glen Eira continues to deliver outstanding conditioning of our parks and gardens assets.
Your track record of respecting and working in partnership with community will be critical to your success in this position.




You will bring a wide-reaching set of leadership skills and experiences that position you to lead and support staff in a measured and considered way that encourages individual and team growth and allows them to shine.
