Employment Type: Full-time (35-hour week)
Duration: Fixed-term contract (Until Dec 2023)
Remuneration: Starting $76K - $86K (plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

Why your role matters
As an Admissions Officer you will primarily be responsible for processing and evaluating a range of applications lodged with the Admissions Office in a high volume, fast paced environment. In addition to assessing applications for admission, this position entails a range of administration duties including responding to applicant enquiries and providing assistance, data entry, and liaison with a range of internal and external stakeholders via phone, email, MicroSoft Teams, and the UNSW CRM system.
Who you are
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Associate Diploma with relevant experience OR Certificate level qualification with post-certificate relevant work experience OR an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience.
- A high level of customer service, and effective oral and written communication skills to respond to applicants and other key stakeholders using a range of communication channels.
- Excellent organisational and administration skills to manage conflicting tasks and work to fixed timelines.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Ability to interpret and apply policy.
- Proficient computing skills, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, internet applications and prior experience as a user of business systems such as student administration, HR or finance applications. Prior experience with a student record management system is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume role, with a strong level of proficiency and attention to detail.
Self-motived with demonstrated capacity to actively contribute working in a team environment, as well as working independently. An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines
