Role: Childcare Centre Cook
Location: North Queensland, Townsville, QLD
Centre: Goodstart Kelso, Riverway Drive
Employment Type: Part-time Permanent – 25 hours per week

About You:

- Support the health and wellbeing of the children through planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks





- If you have a Certificate III in commercial cookery we can offer 25 hours per week working 8.30am-1.30pm. Unqualified applications can be considered but it would be food prep for 3 hours per day

- Prepare meals to meet the needs of children with special dietary requirements and allergies

- Exceptional knowledge of safety and wellbeing

- Order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director

- Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks

- Willingness to learn and be a part of the team

- Strong communication skills, reliable and punctual

- Better pay - you’ll get at least 4% above the award rate, increasing to 5% by 2023
