Mater Mothers’ Hospital currently has an opportunity to cover Maternity leave from 24 April - 22 October 2023, the position is for a Clinical Midwife to work within Birth Suites.

The successful applicant will provide clinical midwifery leadership and management on a day to day basis and deliver evidence-based care to women ranging from the care of normal, low risk women through to complex obstetric and medical care requiring an extensive multidisciplinary approach.

Salary range: $48.66 - $52.13 (RN2) per hour plus superannuation

What you'll be doing

As a Clinical Midwife, you will be responsible for practicing with advanced clinical competence in the provision of quality and cost-effective care in consultation with other members of the health care team. This includes providing support and direction to other staff while role modelling and promoting qualified standards of practice and conduct.

About you

To be successful in your application for this position it is essential that you have:

- Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA
- Considerable post-graduate midwifery experience
- Advanced clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing/midwifery practice
- Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care within the multidisciplinary team




- Commitment to the continuous improvement of health care and midwifery practice, and to continuing professional development of self and others.
- Willingness to commit to and role model the Mater values
