The Role:

Our demonstrable success with leading brands has facilitated this opportunity to grow our Sydney team. As such, we are looking for experienced and motivated individuals who can hit the ground running.

Our pipeline of work means that we are hiring an experienced Estimator who will be responsible for the tendering and cost planning of internal and external projects across multiple states and sectors. Specifically, our areas of expertise are:

· Commercial

· Infrastructure

· Retail

· Hospitality

· Petrol & Convenience

· FMGC

As an Estimator at Hurst,



you will be expected to assume responsibility for ensuring all cost deliverables relating to your project are complete, accurate and submitted in accordance with the tender conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Working closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers and the Senior Leadership Group to cost plan a diverse range of internal and external projects from concept to tender phase

· Assuming a lead estimating role within bid teams to secure external tenders across multiple market sectors

· Reviewing tender documentation and creating BOQ

· Engaging and later managing relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants

· Managing external quantity surveyors and other external bid support personnel to facilitate bid deliverables

· Supporting live projects with cost planning services

About You:

The right candidate will be self-driven and resourceful, possessing the confidence and experience required to solve problems and make decisions in a timely fashion. Whether working on one or multiple projects.

Candidate requirements include:

· Diploma / Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or other related field

· 5+ years of previous demonstrable experience as an Estimator

· Experience and success in cost planning and tendering construction projects across multiple market sectors

· Familiarity with Australian construction delivery and construction models and contracts

· Experience with Cubit Estimating Software

· Understanding of Procore

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Time management skills
