Your new role
In your new role as demand planner, you’ll manage the forecasting process for the business and optimise inventory to meet financial objectives, while driving process improvement throughout the supply chain function. Additionally, your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaboration across key stakeholders in sales & marketing to scrutinise and improve the demand forecast, leading the S&OP; process across the business.
- Management of all stock on hand, conducting analysis to identify slow moving stock, ensure inventory accuracy within the ERP system, and prevent out of stocks through optimisation of safety stock levels.
- Working with key players across the operations function in warehousing, with freight forwarders, and directly liaising with suppliers both local and overseas.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a demand planning role,
with demonstrated understanding across inventory planning, demand forecasting, logistics, purchasing, and S&OP.;
- Excellent systems skills, with advanced MS Excel knowledge, ERP systems exposure, and understanding of forecasting tools highly regarded.
- The ability to work autonomously, collaborate with the executive team within the business and communicate with key stakeholders both internal and external.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience within consumer goods will be highly regarded, in addition to highly tuned analytical skills, data focus, and attention to detail.
